This website collects as little as it can: no cookies, no analytics or advertising services, no tracking. We only receive personal data when you write to us through the contact form or by email. This page explains what happens to it then.

Visiting the website
When you open a page, our server processes what it technically needs to deliver it: IP address, time, the page requested, browser and operating system. The website runs on a server from DigitalOcean, LLC (USA) in a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. DigitalOcean is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and has also agreed to standard contractual clauses. Our application writes no access logs: these details are only used to serve the request and are not stored.
We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. There are no analytics, advertising or social media services. The fonts are part of the website and are not loaded from Google or any other provider.
Contact form
In the form you give your email address, pick services and, if you like, write a message. We use this only to answer your enquiry and to send you a confirmation of receipt.
The form is not stored in a database: it is forwarded to us as an email. To prevent abuse, the server keeps your IP address in memory for at most ten minutes, to turn away too many requests in a short time. It is not stored.
If sending fails, the form opens your own email program with the message written instead. The section on emails then applies.
Sending email through Resend
We send the messages from the form, and the confirmation to you, through Resend, Inc., San Francisco, USA. Resend receives your email address and the content of your enquiry for this, so your data is transferred to the USA. Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers from Switzerland are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, adapted to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection in Resend's data processing agreement.
Emails to us
Enquiries from the form, and emails you write to us directly, arrive in our mailbox with a provider in Switzerland. We keep them as long as we need them for your enquiry or a project that follows from it. Statutory retention duties, for business correspondence for instance, still apply.
Links to other websites
The website links to Google Maps and to our clients' websites, among others. Those pages only load once you click a link. From then on, that provider's privacy policy applies.
Legal basis
We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, the processing is based on answering your enquiry and steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on our legitimate interest in running the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing and ask for a copy of it. Write to hello@bluewall.tech.
You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, to a data protection authority in the EU.
Changes
We update this notice when something changes on the website or in the services we use. The version published here is the one that applies.
